Addison Grace Mccord

Addison Grace McCord, 14, went into the arms of our Lord while surrounded by family on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She graced this world with her presence on December 28, 2007, alongside her twin sister Emma Kathryn McCord.

Addison, affectionately known as Addie to her family and friends, attended Bruce High School where she recently completed the Eighth Grade. Addie had a love for horses, going on trail rides, and going to the rodeo with her friends and family. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially jumping on a four-wheeler to venture through the woods … where she eventually found a few mudholes.  She enjoyed summers going to the beach, Grenada Lake, playing in the river, or just simply jumping in the ponds at home with her friends.  She was also excited to shoot a big deer and enjoyed time fishing at the lake with her friends and family.

Young Addie found joy in competitive cheer with her teammates at Oxford Cheer and playing volleyball with friends at Oxford Volleyball Club. While attending Lafayette Lower Elementary schools, Addie was the Beauty Review Division Queen for 2016/2017 and also participated in several school beauty pageants.

She was actively involved with the youth group at Old Town Baptist Church. Addie didn’t simply pass away, she held in her soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus. Although she has gone to rest in a sacred place free from sickness and the pains of this world, Addie will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; father, Chris (Shanna) McCord of Bruce; mother, Sarah (Ben) Suber of Bruce; three brothers: Landon Suber; Lawson Suber; Ashton (Jordyn) Berryhill; three sisters: Emma Kathryn McCord; Lily Kate Suber; Aubrey Berryhill; grandparents; Terri (Gary) Sneed of Oxford; Bubba (Vickie) Willard Starkville; Charles and Peggy McCord of Bruce; extended grandparents: Linda Allen of Bruce; Steve (Barbara) Suber of Monette, Arkansas; Roger Randal of Batesville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Will Turner and Bro. Vincent Anderson officiating.

Josh Bennett, RJ Bennett, Brad Gunter, Justin Hawkins, Jeff Huffman, Tyler Jordan, Joshua Parker, and Dawson Weaver will carry her to rest in Old Town Cemetery. Britt Bailey, Freddy Bullard, Bobby G Brown, Sammy Hawkins, Jeff Lee, Tim Murphree, Jeremy Parker, Gary Schmitz, Colin Sneed, Andy Stepp, Christopher Suber, and Dennis Weaver will serve as honorary pallbearers.
