Agnes Gillespie

Vardaman- Agnes Laverne Ruth Gillespie, 93, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at her son's home in Isola. She was born March 24, 1920, in Pontotoc. She was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 PM Saturday, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, with burial in Poplar Springs Cemetery at Vardaman. Visitation will be from noon until service time at 2 PM.

She is survived by two sons, Rodney Zane Gillespie of Vardaman and Jerry M. Gillespie of Isola; two sisters, Charla Frances Austin and Virginia Houpe both of Pontotoc; Six grandchildren, Lee Gant, Angie Smith, Cindy Clark, Cristy Lee, Michael Gillespie and Bonnie Gillespie; Seven great-grandchildren, Anna Gant, Grey Clark, Sierra Lee, John Macon Gillespie, Ely Clark, Daniel Lee, Jayden Lee and two step great-grandchildren, Justin Smith and Jessica Smith.
