Alice Lee Ayers

Mrs. Alice Lee Leonard Ayers, 81, of Holcomb passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born July 18, 1933 to George Thomas and Mary Bell Myers Leonard. She was a homemaker, retired factory worker and attended the Lighthouse Church of God.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Grenada Church of God with the Rev. James McElroy and the Rev. Farrell Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday evening and one hour prior to the service all at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Duane Ayers; two daughters, Linda Mabry and Mary Hoss, both of Holcomb; three sons, Travis Carnell of Grenada, Richard Ayers of Holcomb and Jimmy Ayers of Charleston; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Louise Roberts; a brother, Jim Tom Leonard; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ayers; and a son-in-law, Donnie Mabry.

Pallbearers will be James Ayers, Joe Best, Thomas Counts, Cody DeLoach, William Earl DeLoach, Shannon Harris, Dan Hoss, Brandon Mabry, Justin Mabry, and Roger Morris.
