Alvie Dirl Potts, 74 of Paris, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, surrounded by his family at his home in Paris, Mississippi.
Born Monday, December 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Arvie Potts and the late Clyde Joblin Potts. He was the husband
of Lucille Hill Potts.
He was retired from Whirlpool Appliance Corp in Oxford, MS.
He served in the Army from 1966 until 1968. He was a Veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are sons, Ken Potts and wife Cindy of Paris, MS and Eric Potts of Paris, MS, daughters, Wendy Quarles and
husband Steve of Oxford, MS and Regina Stevens and husband Clay of Senatobia, MS, sisters, Annie Sharp and husband Barney, sister in law Lottie Potts of Banner, MS; grand children; Jessica Daniels, Dusty Potts, Joe Quarles, Mac Quarles,
Chyna Quarles, Alaina Quarles, Erica Potts, Cooper Stevens, and Macy Stevens: 6 great grand children.
He was predeceased by brothers, Newell Potts, Bill Potts, Dooley Potts and James Potts, sister, Mary Lou Potts
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Quarles
officiating and Bro. Billy Hill assisting Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Allen, Butch Gandy, Melvin Hesler, Dustin Potts, Tony Potts, and Carl Watson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
