Alvin Wallace Blount

Alvin Wallace Blount of Bruce, MS. a devoted son, beloved father, and skilled mechanic, passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on July 4, 1946, in North Dakota, Alvin was known for his passion for collecting antique cars and his unwavering dedication to his craft.

Alvin, a true automotive enthusiast, spent countless hours working on cars, restoring them to their former glory. He had an impeccable eye for detail and an innate ability to bring life back to these vintage treasures. Alvin's love for cars was not just a hobby but a lifelong passion that brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

Those left to cherish Alvin's memory are his son, Jeremy "Stephanie" Blount of Nashville, Tn, sisters; Leatrice Henry of Vina, AL, Lynn Woolbridge of Tupelo, MS, Pat McDonald of Bruce, MS, and a brother, Gene Blount of Tupelo, MS.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Wilson Blount and Hazel Wakeland Blount, his wife whom he loved dearly Sarah Jane Melton Blount, a sister, Myra Jo Turner and a brother Duane Wakeland.

In honoring the life of Alvin Wilson Blount, a public viewing will be held on February 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Following the viewing, a funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 pm. with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.

Alvin will be laid to rest in Pinecrest Memorial Garden. Bro. Robert Earl Alexander, Gene Blount, Jeremy Blount, Danny Paul Griffin, Jordan Griffin and James Stone will serve as pallbearers.
