Angela Carol Bennett

Angela Carol Bennett, 54, of Calhoun City, departed from this life on Friday, December 08, 2023, at Baptist Calhoun Hospital in Calhoun City. She was born on March 26, 1969, in Vardaman, to the late Willie Jean Hardin Reynolds.

Angie spent many seasons of life keeping children. She was the Mother of her extended children that she cared for, where she cherished every moment that she had with the children she nurtured. Angie was also a cook in the cafeteria at Calhoun Academy. She loved to cook and always helped others. Angie was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. She was a member of Derma Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her husband, Dennis Alvin "Big Bird" Bennett of Calhoun City; three daughters: Haley Bennett (Stony) Armstrong of Weir, MS; Kimberly Diane Bennett of Columbus; Emily Paige Bennett of Calhoun City; two sons: Taylor (Rachel) Liles of Durham, NC; Trent Liles of Vardaman; sister, Rita (Rickey) Mooneyham of Big Creek; sister in-law, Jo Ann Reynolds of Bruce; two brothers: Oren (Clara) Reynolds of Calhoun City; Tony Reynolds of Drew, MS; grandchild, Tyson Ray Bennett.

Angie is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Jean Hardin Reynolds; two sisters: Nina Reynolds and Agnes Gaskin; two brothers: G.W. Reynolds and Harold Reynolds.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service honoring Angie's life will take place on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with Bro. Taylor Liles and Bro. Roger Reeder officiating. Landon Allen, Coty Gaskin, Brad Mooneyham, Eric Porter, Corey Reynolds, Dewey Reynolds, and Douglas Reynolds will carry Angie to rest in Oak Springs Cemetery. Will Asbury, Jaxon Cook, Jobi Cook, Trey Dakota, and Dennis Reynolds will serve as honorary pallbearers.
