Ariah Eve Hood

Ariah Eve Hood, 32, of Bruce departed from this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Yalobusha General Hospital and Nursing Home. She was born on August 21, 1990, to Junior Dewayne Hood and Debra Faye Boyett Hood in Memphis, TN.

Ariah enjoyed collecting keychains and angels. When she wasn’t collecting things she could be found playing games on the computer, watching tv, or skating. Ariah enjoyed quality time with her family, she enjoyed site seeing with her dad, Dewayne, or shopping with her mom, Debra. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, and her sister. Ariah was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Water Valley.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence: parents, Junior Dewayne Hood and Debra Faye Boyett Hood of Bruce, MS; sister, April Haley; brother, Chris Jones of Bruce, MS; three nieces: Makayla Haley, Katelyn Haley, and Aubrey Jones. Two nephews: Nathan Haley and Cole Jones; friend, Mary Wilkerson; neighbor, Marie Benson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Ariah’s life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 3:00 PM with Bro. R.W. Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in Sarpeta Cemetery.
