Calhoun City, MS-Austin Lee Armstrong, 23, passed away suddenly, after a accident April 1, 2018. He was born October 6, 1994 in Tupelo. Austin met everyone with a smile and enjoyed God’s nature and the outdoors. He was a graduate of Vardaman High School Class of 2013. He was employed at T & T Specialty Applications as a herbicide and chemical application sprayer. Austin was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he placed his faith in his savior.
Austin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Turner Armstrong and Elton Marshall.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Gerry Austin Armstrong, Calhoun City; mother, Gina Vernon (Shannon), Pontotoc; sister, Kasey Armstrong, Calhoun City; brothers, Hayden Armstrong, Grenada, Nathan Vernon, Pontotoc; grandfather, Earl Wayne Armstrong, Calhoun City and a grandmother, Ouida Marshall, Derma.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. A funeral service honoring Austin's life will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Armstrong and Dr. Don Baggett officiating in the service. Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Cody Smith, Garrett Tillman, Lane Tillman, Nathan Vernon, Joey Winter and Matt Winter.
