Vardaman, MS.- Ben Franklin Landreth, 76, passed this earthly life surrounded by his family on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born on February 9, 1941 to the late parents of W.D. Landreth and Emolene Bailey Landreth and preceded in death by a brother, Durell Landreth. Ben was a graduate of Vardaman High School class of 1959 and a sweet potato farmer with his family. He was very active in his church, town and community promoting sweet potatoes and serving on the Sweet Potato Council. Ben was a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church, past Vardaman Jaycees and past president of Poplar Springs Water Association.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Bobbie Baker Ladreth, Vardaman, MS; a daughter, Cindy Ward “Chris”, Vardaman, MS; a son, Andy Landreth “Tricia”, Vardaman, MS; four grandchildren, Andrew Landreth “Lane”, Dillan Landreth, Cheyanne Ladreth, and Dustin Alexander “Amanda”; and three great grandchildren, Cole Landreth, Harper Landreth and Bailey Blount.
Visitation will be Saturday November 11, 2017 from 10:00 until 2:00 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman, MS. The Funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 at Vardaman First Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. James Towery officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Bailey, James Marshall Casey, David Hardin, James Landreth, Michael Landreth, Charles Dee Mahan, Dewyatt Winter, and Stephen Winter.
