Benford "Benny" Doler, Jr.

Benford Doler, Jr., 77, passed away on August 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Calhoun Nursing Home. Benny was born in Bruce, MS, on February 4, 1948, to Benford Doler, Sr. and Jewel Elizabeth Lyons Doler.

Benny was a graduate of Bruce High School. He found his life work as a trucker and a farmer and also worked for the Calhoun County Solid Waste Department as a driver for the garbage waste. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bruce.

Benny is survived by his son Benford (Sondra) Doler, III, of Ripley MS; granddaughter Gabrielle Elizabeth Giompoletti (Trey) Graham, of Pontotoc, MS; and great grandchildren: Remington Graham, Hazley Graham, Ruby Graham, and Gunner Graham.

He was preceded in death by his parents Benford Doler, Sr. and Jewel Elizabeth Lyons Doler, his wife Mary Jo Norman Doler, and a daughter Lisa Michelle Doler.

Visitation for Benny will be Monday, August 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Bruce Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Hardin, Jimmy Hubbard, Lynn Inman, Miles Jeffrey, Andy Massey, and Robert Edward Oakley.
