Bettie Jean Wright, 80, of Vardaman, Mississippi traded her sorrow for joy on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Christopher’s Personal Care Home in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She was born on September 9, 1939 in Vardaman to the late James Ira and Bonnie Martin Naron.
Bettie was lady that could be described by her work ethic and love for family. She spent numerous years employed with Kellwood Company and ultimately retired. However, she didn’t stay retired for long, finding a job with BancorpSouth as a teller, and soon after transitioning to Walmart as a clerk. Bettie worked hard, but loved her family even harder. She took special joy in her grandchildren, and had a special place for them in her heart. Bettie cherished cooking meals for family and often had them gathered around her table to create memories. Bettie didn’t simply pass away. She held in her soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus where she worshiped Him at Vardaman First Baptist Church.
She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her sweet memory; one son, Jeff (Michelle) Wright of Southaven, Mississippi; one daughter, Mitzi (Eugene) Baecher of Vardaman, Mississippi; one sister, Daphana (Paul) Cook of Vardaman; Four grandchildren; David Wright, Drew (Jessica) Wright, Lance Baecher, and Nicole Baecher. Four great grandchildren; Emerie Baecher, Teagan Baecher, Lucy Wright, and Carlisle Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Marion Wright; parents, James Ira and Bonnie Martin Naron; one sister, Patsy Lence.
