Betty "Phyllis" Goodman, born on April 12, 1951, in Banner, Mississippi, passed away at her home in Abbeville, MS, on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Betty spent her life cherishing time with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.

Phyllis cherished the time she spent with her two sisters, sharing laughter, memories, and an unbreakable bond that meant the world to her. Phyllis also had a love for shopping and took special pride in decorating her home, creating a warm and welcoming space that reflected her style.

Phyllis was a proud mother to her three children, Amanda (Brian) Hudson of Oxford, MS, Jessie (Kathy) Goodman of Oxford, MS, and Robert (Carol) Goodman of Baldwyn, MS. She was overjoyed with pride and love for her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were the lights of her life.

Before her retirement, Phyllis dedicated 30 years to her work at Borg Warner, where she formed enduring friendships and was well-respected for her contributions. Her faith played an integral role in her life as she attended Faith Chapel in Banner, MS, where she found community support and spiritual nourishment.

A funeral service will be held in honor of Phyllis in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a public viewing from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM that same day. Friends and family are encouraged to gather to celebrate Phyllis' life, sharing stories and memories that reflect the beauty she brought to the world.

Phyllis will be laid to rest in her hometown of Banner, MS, at Banner Cemetery on December 22, 2025. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband; Benny Franklin Goodman, father; James Otis Davis, mother; Thelma Eyvonne Davis, and brother; James Larry Davis.
