Betty June Hill

Betty June Hill, a beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 20, 1942, Betty spent her life in Bruce, Mississippi, where she became a pillar of her community and left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

June graduated with a high school diploma and dedicated many years of her life to her career at Calhoun Industries before retiring. Known for her warm heart and infectious smile, she created a loving home for her family and friends, offering kindness and support to all who entered her life. June was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she also Sunday school, leading children to Christ, she enjoyed working in the flower beds, and preparing for reunions, homecomings, and could cook the best fried chicken you've eaten.

June is survived by her loving husband, Billy Hill, and her three sons, Charlie (Terrie) Hill, David (Donna) Hill, and Mark (Tammye) Hill all of Bruce, MS, six grandchildren Nathan (Jessi) Hill, Cody (Anne) Hill, Stephanie (Andy) Bailey, Brittany (Darren) Chance, Averie (Tyler) Curvin, and Evan Hill. Along with 8 great grands and one on the way.

June’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and deep-rooted family values. Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory during a public viewing at New Hope Baptist Church on June 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Vincent Anderson officiating.

June was preceded in death by her father, John Wilton Jenkins, mother, Myrtle Joblin Jenkins, along with 12 brothers and sisters.

Following the service, June will find her final resting place in Concord Cemetery, where she will continue to watch over her family and the community she so dearly loved.
