Betty Sue Johnson

Betty Sue Johnson, age 80 of Vardaman peacefully passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Betty Sue was born Sunday, July 30, 1939 in Vardaman. She was the daughter of the late Z.L. Long and the late Leatha Cherry Long. She was the wife of the late David Johnson. She retired from Kellwood where she worked for 37 years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Betty Sue enjoyed cooking and spending time with family

Those left to cherish Betty Sue's memory are daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jean Wright of Houston,  brothers, Edward Long of Vardaman, and David Cherry of Houston, sisters, Christine Clements (George) of Calhoun City, and Rose McKlusky (Bryant) of Vardaman; 2 grand children; 4 great grand children.

She was predeceased by son, Jimmy Wright, sister, Louise Vance.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Elzey Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating.
