Betty Jean Redwine

Betty Jean Redwine, 63, passed away at her home in Bruce surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was born on October 28, 1958 in West Helena, AR to the late James Talmadge Minor and Kathleen Minor.

Betty spent her days as a homemaker looking after the needs of her family. While she loved her children, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time spent with them. Betty was a member of Parker Baptist Church. Although Betty has departed from our lives, her treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of her loved ones.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; husband, Luther Gene Redwine of Bruce; daughter, Lisa Byars of Bruce; son, Chris Redwine of Bruce; step son, Toby Gentry of Evansville, IN; ten grandchildren: Kaleb Redwine, Isabelle Newell, Logan Redwine, Dorian Redwine, Bret Byars, Sabastian Byars, Abby Byars, Slade Gentry, Maddie Gentry Tyler Gentry and Faith Deans; four sisters: Mary Mays of Hickory Flat, MS; Becky Robbins of Pontotoc, MS; Kathy Sturrock of Texas; JoAnn Fisk of Bruce; three brothers: Billy Minor of Oxford; Dearl Minor of Hickory Flat, MS; Gary Minor of North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Talmadge Minor and Kathleen Minor; sister, Linda Rodgers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2022  from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The graveside service honoring Betty's life will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Mt.Comfort Cemetery with Bro. Steve Poindexter officiating. Toby Gentry, Billy Minor, Kaleb Redwine, Logan Redwine, Wayne Redwine, and Ricky Tramel will carry Betty to rest. Rodney Barnett, Albert Dankins, Jerry Gillespie, Jimmy Jones, and Ben Reel will serve as honorary pallbearers.
