Billie Jones Beasley 93, of Bruce formally of Olive Branch passed away at Bruce Community Living Center on Wednesday, November 09, 2022. She was born on September 01, 1929, in Derma, MS to the late Henry Allen Jones and Annie Therrell Jones.
Billie spent her days as a homemaker that devoted her time to looking after the needs of her family. In her early years, she worked at Jones Truck Lines. She was not only a devoted member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Billie loved watching Ole Miss and the University of Memphis Football and basketball. She loved laughing, telling stories, and having fun with family and friends. Although she has departed from our presence, Billie’s memory will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the life in her absence: son, Mark Beasley of Olive Branch, MS; three sisters: Bonnie Merritt of Hermitage, TN; Eunice Carter of Ashland, MS; Rachel McPhail of Hernando, MS; grandchild, Lora Lee (Mason) Phillips of Ozark, MO; great-grandchildren, Anna Lee Phillips and James Mason Phillips.
She is preceded in death by both husbands, Bobby Gene Gable and Joseph Edward Beasley; parents, Henry Allen Jones, and Annie Therrell Jones; son, Robert Allen Gable; sister, Nell Fooshee.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service celebrating Billie's life will take place on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral home in Bruce with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Frank McPhail, DeMarquis Merritt, Mark Merritt, Mason Phillips, Jarrod Reece, Jeremy Reece, and Jerry Reece will carry Billie to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman, MS. Anna Phillips and James Phillips will serve as honorary pallbearers.
