Billy Frank Cantrell, affectionately known as "Wild Bill," passed away at his home on June 26, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on June 3, 1940, in Bruce, Mississippi, Billy Frank was the son of Frank and Eva Cantrell. He was a cherished member of the community and a beloved figure in the logging and trucking industry. He graduated from Calhoun City High School as part of the Class of 1957 and went on to dedicate his life to his work as owner and truck driver for Cantrell Trucking.

Billy Frank's life was characterized by his deep love for animals, especially his dogs and cats. He attended Bruce United Methodist Church and was an active and passionate member of the Magnum Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and listening to his hunting dogs run. In addition, Billy Frank was an Ole Miss sports fan, loved watching NASCAR races and embarking on scavenger hunting adventures with his metal detector. He relished the simple joys in life, often riding on his four-wheeler through the beautiful landscapes of Bruce.

His family includes his daughters, Suzette (Bill) Malone of Pittsboro, MS, Jamie Parker of Bruce, MS, Kim Keohane of Memphis, TN; sons, Paul (Carla) Cantrell of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Keith (Beverly) Cantrell of Olive Branch, MS; and step-son, John Massey of Bruce, MS. He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Leah (Jarred) Hawks, Bill Malone Jr., Conner Cantrell, Ashley Keohane, Matthew Strader, Jarret Cantrell, Calli Guerrero, Rhett Cantrell, Preston Cantrell, Alex (Kristian) Bryant, Zack (Lexi) Kimbrough, Mason Rutherford, John Hagan Parker, Ryley Massey and Kate Massey; along with 14 great-grandchildren. Those who knew Billy Frank were amused by his sparkling sense of humor; when introducing his children, he would proudly proclaim, "There is not an ugly one in the bunch."

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Bro. Vincent Anderson officiating. Billy Frank will be laid to rest at Bruce Cemetery on the same day. Serving as pallbearers will be Kristian Bryant, Conner Cantrell, Jarred Hawks, Zack Kimbrough, Bill Malone Jr. and John Hagan Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Dog Lover's League, C/O Rose Wells 135 Easley Ave. Bruce, MS 38915, honoring Billy Frank's love for animals.

Billy Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cantrell and Eva McNair Cantrell.
