Billy L. Grist, 82 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Community Hospice House in Verona,
Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, June 22, 1932 in Sarepta, Mississippi, he was the son of the late William Grist and the late Clara
Logan Grist. He was the husband of Marjorie Winter Grist.
He served in the Army. He was a Veteran of Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Sarepta Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Marjorie Grist of Bruce, MS. a daughter, Kathy (Todd) Simon of Calhoun City, MS, brother, William Don Grist of Oxford, MS,
Grandchildren, Corey Clark, Clint Grist, and Cody Grist, Great Grandchildren, Alden Lane Clark, and William Gage
Grist,
He was predeceased by a son, Marty Grist, sisters, Faye Grist Drewry and Martha Sue Grist Murphree.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in
Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be Corey Clark, Gary Drewry, Ricky Drewry, Clint Grist, Cody Grist, and Monte Grist. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Bond, James Wilbert Grist and W. A. Grist.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral
