Billy Doyle Martin,45, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed from this life on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was welcomed into this world on May 31, 1976, in Amory, Mississippi by his parents Rufus D Martin and Margaret Ann Schwalenberg.
Billy spent many years married to his loving wife, Amy Walls Martin, before his passing. This union brought life to two daughters, one grandson, and a legion of memories made along the path of life. Billy provided for his family by traveling the highways and byways of the United Sates as a truck driver for Mercer Transportation. Prior to his career in the logistics business, he was a Green Beret in the United States Army Special Forces. After faithfully serving his country fighting for the liberties and freedom, we enjoy today. Billy found the time to practice a myriad of self-taught hobbies. As a jack of all trades and a master of several Billy was an avid of not only his CB Radio but also operating his Ham Radio. With a knack for communication Billy also hosted his on-podcast show. Aside from his use of technology to communicate, he was interested which revealed his intellectual traits. He spent many hours with pen in hand sketching out a piece of writing or a one of kind drawing. In conjunction with his passion for the arts, Billy not only found company in the pages of a good book also creating a music on a saxophone and guitar. Although Billy has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.
He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; wife, Amy Walls Martin of Idaho Falls, Idaho; father, Rufus D Martin (Marilyn) of Vardaman; mother, Margaret Ann Schwalenberg (Giovanni) of Pontotoc; two daughters: Anna Maire Martin of Pontotoc; Sara Beth Martin of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one grandson, Jordyn Wade of Pontotoc; one brother, Larry Dale Martin ( Madison) of Pontotoc; three sisters: Barbara Mills (Timmy) of Houston; Amanda McClarty (Steve) of Sardis; Lucinda Wooldridge (Daniel) of Pontotoc.
Billy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Lucille Martin; maternal grandparents, Delmar and Verlon Galloway.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Vardaman. The graveside service remembering his life will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in the cemetery of Judah Church of The Lord Jesus Christ with Bro. Lane Galloway officiating.
Chris Martin, Steve McClarty, Anthony Moss, Josie Pannell , Joshua Robbins, and Daniel Wooldridge will carry him to rest in the cemetery of Judah Church of The Lord Jesus Christ. Dustin Martin and Dakota Tutor will serve as honorary pallbearers.
