Billy Newsom

Billy Wayne Newsom, 69 of Water Valley, Mississippi died on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Diversacare in Batesville,Mississippi.Born Sunday, August 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Earnest Newsom and the late Eva Bruner Newsom. Billy enjoyed woodwork, dancing and joy riding. He was retired from Calhoun County Board Of Supervisors Distric 3. He was a Veteran of  Vietnam.He was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are his loving family: wife, Annie Charlene Peak Newsom of Water Valley, son, Billy Wilburn of Water Valley, MS, daughters, Rhonda Chapman of Water Valley, MS and Becky Butler of Southaven, MS, brother, Michael Newsom of Bruce, MS, sisters, Myra White of Banner, MS, Joan Glover of Paris, MS and Carolyn Shaw of Coffeeville, MS.He was predeceased by brother, Robert Newsom.

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Turkey Creek Cemetery with the Bro. Charlie Fitts officiating.Interment will be in Turkey Creek Cemetery, Bruce, MS.The family will receive friends from  12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, Water Valley, Mississippi.
