Billy Edward Snellings of Bruce passed away suddenly on Monday, March 25, 2019. Born on January 17, 1938 in Bruce to Charlie Snellings and Hazel Box Snellings, he was 81.
For over 58 years, Bill owned and operated Snellings Service Station in Bruce. This helped to foster hobbies which included restoring antique vehicles, with a particular interest in Ford Trucks and Broncos. He also enjoyed working in his yard at home. As a member of First Baptist Church in Bruce, Bill will be missed by family and friends alike.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Ann Simpson Snellings of Bruce; Son Kevin Snellings of Bruce; and Brother John R. (Annie Jean) Snellings of Bruce.
There will be a visitation with the family on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. Immediately following visitation, a funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home beginning at 2:00 pm. Brother Darrell Logan and Brother Joel Worthy will lead services with prayers and words of comfort.
Following the funeral service, Bill will be laid to eternal rest in Memory Memorial Garden, located in front of the funeral home. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Scotty Box, Steve Box, Benny Collins, Jim Collins, Miles Jefferies, Sonny Keeton, Andrew Snellings, and Keith Snellings.
Bill was preceded in death by Daughter Kimberly Snellings, his parents Hazel Box Snellings and Charlie Snellings.
