Ms. Billye Charles Hardin, 92, passed away at Bruce Community Living Center on October 5, 2026. Born on May 8, 1934, in Loyd, Mississippi, Billye dedicated most of her life working for the Department of Defense in Huntsville, Alabama as a Budget Analyst.

Beyond her professional endeavurs, Billye had a profound love for travel and found joy in playing crossword puzzles. A devoted sports fan, she especially cherished the excitement of baseball and football. However, her greatest joy came from her family, whom she cherished and loved deeply. Billye brought smiles to her loved ones' faces with her fudge and teacakes. Her loving, caring, and genuine spirit will be profoundly missed.

Billye is survived by her nieces and nephew, including Sandra (Mike) Jones of Vardaman, MS, Cindy (Jeff) Hamilton of Vardaman, MS, Carolyn Pilgreen of Houston, TX, Cathy (Jeff) Davis of Ridgeland, MS, Lynne (Jerry) Clements of Bartlett, TN, Debra (Keith) Raburn of Denham Springs, LA, Dr. Bill (Angie) Hardin of Madison, MS, and Tami (Mark) Jarrell of St. Francisville, LA; and a special sister-in-law, Rebecca Ashby Hardin of Vardaman, MS. As well as her special God children, Jeff (Christy) Brotherton and Rhetta Prince all of Mooresville, NC and Billye's life-long friend, Celia Johnson of Huntsville, AL.

A funeral service will be held in Bruce, Mississippi on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Dr. Bill Hardin officiating in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a visitation that will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on the same day. Billye will be laid to rest at Bruce Cemetery following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Cregar, Jeff Brotherton, Jeff Hamilton, Josh Hamilton, Mark Jarrell, Michael Jones, and Mike Jones.

Billye was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Hartwell Hardin; mother, Pearl Spratlin Hardin; sisters, Dorothy Hardin Crocker, Rebecca Hardin Pilgreen, Beverly Hardin Bridwell; brothers, Curtis H. Hardin and Hugh "Bud" Hardin; and special friends, Hank and Peggy Brotherton.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hardin family as they walk through this season of loss. We ask that you keep them, in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the passing of their loved one.
