Bob Gene Shekell

Bob  Gene Shekell, 89, passed away August 24, 2017 at his home. He was born October 2, 1927 in Evansville, IN. to the late
parents Dudley and Grace Bottoms Shekell. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1990. Bob had previously worked and
managed Master Steel Company in New Albany. He loved his family and enjoyed reading novels for his pastime. Bob served
in Country during the Korean War Conflict serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife; Bobbie Jane Grist Shekell, Pittsboro, MS. a daughter; Debbie Sue Porter "Terry", Dumas, MS.,
four sons; Michael Gene Shekell, Denver, Co., Mark Anthony Shekell, Denver, Co. Bobby Gordon Brown "Judy", Bruce, MS.
Mike Winter "Teresa", Pittsboro, MS. Ken Winter "Donna Sue", Bruce, MS. Sister; Mary James "Don", Evansville, IN. Jack
Shekell, San Diego, CA. Ten Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Helen Papmeir and three brothers; Billy Shekell, Jerry Shekell, and Ben
Shekell.
Graveside service will be Friday, August 25, 2017 at Bruce Cemetery at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating.
