Bobbie Sue Powell, 81 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center
in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born Friday, June 23, 1933 in Sarepta, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Lois Jackson Knight and the
late Annie Mae McCormick Knight. She was the wife of the late Frank Powell.
Also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Knight.
She was a graduate of Randolph High School, homemaker, and loved outdoor gardening.
She was a member of Houlka First Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Frank Matthew Powell of Grenada, MS, daughters, Barbara Powell Harris of Sarasota, FL, Emily
Powell Burchett of Knoxville, TN, Rhonda Powell of Boulder, CO and Dixie (Andy) Lindley of Tupelo, MS, brother,
Laderl Knight of Mena, AR, sister, Robbie Knight Joiner of Ocala, FL.
Grandchildren, Codee Battle Ewing, Matthew (Tiffani) Powell, Megan Powell, Craig Owen, Ann Kirby Burchett, Sam
Carson Burchett, and Allison Powell. Two great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, in the Memory Memorial Garden with the Bro. Junior
Ritchie and Bro. Matthew Powell officiating. Interment will be in Memory Memorial Garden, Bruce, MS.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral
