Bobbye Jean Turner

Bruce, MS – Bobbye Jean Turner, 88, passed this earthly life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 surrounded by her love ones. She was born on July 25, 1929 in Bruce to the late parents of George Raymond Chrestman and Thelma Jane Hughes Chrestman.

Bobbye was a very active person in her community, she was a retired beautician, seamstress, gardener and a fabric store owner. She was a active member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents, a late brother, Billy Wayne Chrestman.

Those left to honor her memory are a daughter, Beverly McKelroy, Bruce, MS; a son, Danny Turner “Mary”, Bruce, MS; a sister, Nell Cain “Louie”, Bruce, MS; four grandchildren, Barry Turner “Kelli”, Tracy Box “Ricky”, Carla Belue “Rodney”, and Brian McKelroy; Eight grandchildren, Dylan McKelroy, McKenna McKelroy, Allyson Elliott, Janna Turner, Addison Turner, Alex Box, Ashlyn Box and Barrett Box.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Wayne Cobb and Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Chad Austin, David Austin, Rodney Belue, Jimmy W. Chrestman, Joe Cain, Jerry Cain, Ricky Hall, Brian McKelroy and Mike Tyler.

Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
