Brandi Lane McKinley, born on August 9, 1973, in Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at her home in Bruce, Mississippi at the age of 52. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Brandi is survived by her devoted husband, James McKinley; her loving mother, Sherry (Brady) Brewer; and her cherished children: Niketa Jines, Brett Grady Warren, Sean "Max" Gee, Matthew Gee, Jared McKinley, and Lauren McKinley. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Beth McAdams and Krista Rae Marcum, her brothers, Jeremy McAdams and Antonio McAdams, stepmother, Anita McAdams, along with her grandchildren: Krissalynn, Klayton Jines, Hayden "Layne" Warren, and Khloee Jayde Warren "Buggie."

Brandi was a woman of many passions. She found joy in quilting, the rhythm of her sewing machine providing a comfort that echoed throughout her home. She was an avid reader and enjoyed immersing herself in audiobooks, allowing her imagination to soar to new heights. In her spare time, she delighted in raising chickens and peacocks, embracing the tranquility of nature and the companionship of her beloved cats.

Professionally, Brandi demonstrated her strength and versatility through her work in construction and carpentry, as well as her role as a cashier. Her dedication to her work was a testament to her hardworking spirit, and she was known for her kind demeanor and welcoming smile.

As Brandi embarks on her next journey, she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at Black Oak Fire Department in Vanceburg, Kentucky tentatively 1 p.m. EST.
