Brandon Jay McKibben passed away suddenly at his home in Brandon, MS on Thursday, March 21, 2019. Born on May 18, 1973 to Hiram and Ann Lee Mckibben in Oxford, he was 45.
A member of Bruce High School’s graduating class of 1991, Brandon eventually relocated to the Brandon, MS area where he was employed at the Nissan Plant in Canton. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, shooting his guns, and grilling for his family and friends. An animal lover, Brandon had a special friendship with his two cats. Although his time with us was too short, friends and family alike know he was called home to a better place.
Brandon leaves behind his Mother, Ann Lee McKibben and Father, Hiram McKibben of Bruce; Sister, Misty (Bob) Dye of Vardaman; a very special Niece, Saylor Grace Dye; and a very special friend, Lorrie Alexander of Brandon.
There will be a visitation with the family on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. Immediately following visitation at 3:00 pm, a funeral service celebrating Brandon’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home. Brother Darrell Logan and Brother Bobby Cobb will lead services with prayers and words of comfort.
Following the funeral service on Saturday Afternoon, Brandon will be laid to eternal rest in Memory Memorial Garden, located in front of Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Brian Hughes, Chad Lee, Tim Earl McCormick, Tony McCormick, Tim Swords, Sammy Turner, Tracy Turner, and Will Weldon. Additionally, Barry Lee, Bucky Lee, Jeff Lee, Lance Lee, Landon Lee, Chase Overstreet, Gray Overstreet, and Brandon’s friends at the Nissan Plant in Canton will all serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Brandon was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Elton and Myrtle Lee and Paternal Grandparents, H.W. and Catherine McKibben.
