Brenda Jenkins Blaylock

Brenda Jenkins Blaylock, 64, of Bruce passed from this life on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. Born on December 9, 1957, in Crowder, Mississippi, Brenda was daughter to the late William Cumber Jenkins and Mary Lou Bowling Jenkins.

Brenda spent many years as a Certified Nurse’s Aid until her retirement in 2020. When Brenda wasn’t working, she spent her time looking after the needs of her family. Although she has departed from our presence, Brenda’s memory will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenny Blaylock, of Bruce; two daughters: Melissa Tallant, of Pittsboro and Teresa Tallant, of Bruce; one son, Shannon (Nichole) Tallent, of Austin, TX; one sister, Shirley Austin, of Ripley; two grandchildren: Ryder Ward and Pyppiar Tallant.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, William Cumber Jenkins and Mary Lou Bowling Jenkins; two brothers: William “Charlie” Jenkins and Billy Bowling.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. James Taylor officiating. Eddie Barnes, Dan Hardin, Dustin Hardin, Roncie Hardin, Jeff Harwell, Scott Ledbetter, Jacob Sharp, Dillon Webb, and James “Bubba” Ward will carry her to rest in Memory Memorial Garden. The employees of Hardin Trucking, and Harvey Hardin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Blaylock family as they walk through this season of loss. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the passing of their loved one.
