Brenda Turman, beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 67 where she was surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 7, 1957, in Oxford, MS. Brenda's life was filled with joy in the company of her cherished family. She is survived by her loving sister, Martha (John) Woods of Vicksburg, her brothers Robert (Sarah) Jenkins of Vardaman and Jerry Jenkins of Fulton, her children Ginger (Thomas) McAnally of Houlka, Quinton (Ashton) Wilkerson of Pontotoc, and Lamar (Connie) Wilkerson of Summit, as well as her adored grandchildren Kelsie (Jason) McAnally, Desirea (Dorian) Vance, Justin Wilkerson, Dillon Wilkerson, Aaron Wilkerson, Santana (Trent) Wilkerson, Savanna Wilkerson, Haley (Hunter) Wilkerson and Alanna Pulley and 12 great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Brenda found the utmost happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, taking them out for meals, and enjoying shopping escapades together. A woman of simple pleasures, Brenda cherished her mother's peanut butter cake, a delicious treat that kept fond memories alive.
A public viewing to honor Brenda's life will be held on July 10, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2:00 pm in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander Officiating. Brenda will be laid to rest in Ellzey Cemetery with Robert Jenkins, Brock Mason, Hunter Stone, Dillon Wilkerson, Lamar Wilkerson, Quinton Wilkerson, Dorian Vance and John Woods serving as pallbearers.
Although Brenda Turman's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit and the enduring memories she created with her family will live on forever in their hearts. May she rest in peace.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Jenkins, Carl Jenkins, mother, Janie Lou Burks, father, Freddie Jenkins, and a grandchild Casey Wilkerson.
