Brenda Kaye Williams, born on June 25, 1943, passed away at NMMC in Tupelo, MS, on August 2, 2026, at the age of 83. A dedicated healthcare worker, Brenda devoted her life to caring for others, making a significant impact during her tenure at NMRC Bodock. She was a proud graduate of Houston High School, Class of 1961.
Brenda was a hard worker who found joy in cooking for her family and friends. She had a special love for animals and treasured her pets. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where she cherished her relationship with the Lord and the fellowship of her church family.
As a beloved mother and grandmother, Brenda leaves behind her son Mike (Ann) Williams of Houlka, son Chris (Judy) Williams of Houlka, daughter Karla (Sidney) Skyles of Bruce, and daughter Kelly (Dwayne) Ozbun of Houlka. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Adam (Taylor) Williams, Austin (Summer) Williams, Noel (Jock) Tunnell, McKenzie (Jarrett) Bennett, Cade (Dakota) Ozbun, and Noah Ozbun, as well as ten great-grandchildren who brought her great joy. Brenda also leaves behind her sister Phyllis Cain of Aberdeen.
Brenda's life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, Mississippi. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, Brenda will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman, Mississippi. Serving as pallbearers are Jarrett Bennett, Cade Ozbun, Noah Ozbun, Jock Tunnell, Adam Williams, and Austin Williams.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Don Williams, father Wilson Marler, and mother Christine Humphries.
