Brooks Turner, 91 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Graceland Health & Rehab-Oxford, MS.
Born Saturday, February 14, 1925 in Robbs , Mississippi, he was the son of the late Samuel Robert Turner and Bertha Wait
Turner. He was the husband of the late Lavelle Logan Turner.
A farmer & Retired Baptist Minister, a Mason, former employee of The Bruce Telephone Co.
He was a member of Adaton Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Sammy & wife Tricia Turner of Starkville, MS, Tommy & wife Paula Turner of Oxford, MS, Dr. Jacky &
wife Betty Turner of Oxford, MS, Rick & wife Robin Turner of Huntsville, AL and Jimmy & wife Mary Turner of Collierville, TN.
Ten grandchildren, Rob & wife Valerie Turner, Casey & wife Molly Turner, Maggie & husband Richie Tanner, Hannah &
Husband Jamie Quinn, Ross & wife Allison Turner, Brooks Turner, Sara Beth & husband Matt Spearing, Kyle & wife Ellen
Turner, Hunter Turner, Amy & husband Jarrod Austin. Twelve Great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brother, Ross Turner, sister, Myrl Taylor.and grandson, T.J. Turner.
A Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Hal Selby officiating. Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be Brooks Turner, Casey Turner, Hunter Turner, Kyle Turner, Rob Turner, and Ross Turner.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476
hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
