Burnie Sue Phillips, 88 of Calhoun City, Mississippi died on Monday, September 15, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical
Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born Saturday, November 28, 1925 in Vardaman, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Jim Hamilton and the
late Maudie Blanche Hamilton. She was the wife of the late James Phillips.
Retired from The Kellwood Co.
She was a member of Reedy Chapel Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Bobby Phillips of Tupelo, MS, daughter, Peggy (Lynn) Hardy of Union City, TN. Ten
Grandchildren and Three great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sons, David Phillips and Les Phillips, daughter, Joann Cox, brothers, Robert Hamilton, L.T.
Hamilton and Lee Hamilton, sisters, Clara Brown, Louise Nix, Blanche Hendrix, Inez Phillips and Sallie Hamilton.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Parker Memorial
Funeral Home, , Vardaman, Mississippi.
