Calvin Ellen Gulledge

Calvin Gulledge was a graduate of Derma High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball during her high school years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was employed by Blount Cleaners and delivered for The Commercial Appeal.

Calvin loved the outdoors and took great pride in working with her cows. Calvin adored her nephew, Donny. She loved him as if he were her own son, always watching over him, encouraging him, and taking pride in everything he did. Their bond was deep and her love for him was evident to everyone who knew her.

Calvin leaves behind her beloved nephew, Donny (Carla) Orr; her great-nephew and great-niece, Parker (Jackie) Orr and Carleigh (Butch) Adcock; and her great-great-nieces and nephews, Ryker Orr, Aria Orr, Logan Vanlandingham, and Allie Adcock. She loved them so much and always enjoyed it when they came to visit her.

Calvin was preceded in death by her husband; George Mitchell Gulledge, father, Calvin Spencer Chrestman, mother, Bessie Creola Carman Chrestman. and her sister Creola Carmen Jones.

A graveside service will be held in honor of Calvin at 11:00AM on, Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Oak Springs Cemetery with Bro. Joe Russell officiating. Butch Adcock, Rob Hollis, Ritchie Logan, Donny Orr, Parker Orr, and Ryker Orr will be serving as pallbearers.
