Candance Blue Huffman

Candance "Candy" Blue Huffman, 58; born on September 25, 1967, in Vardaman, MS, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A vibrant member of her community, Candance will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering spirit, and enduring commitment to serving others.

Candy was a proud graduate of Vardaman High School, Class of 1985, and furthered her education at Itawamba Community College, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her career at North Mississippi Medical Center was marked by compassion and dedication, traits that defined her approach to nursing and to life.

As a devoted member of the Vardaman First Baptist Church, Candy contributed her talents to the hostess and decorating committees, where her remarkable flair for decoration shone through. She delighted in making every occasion special, from church events to holiday celebrations, especially during Christmas when she went all out. She also enjoyed participating in the Annual Sweet Potato Festival, generously donating her time and effort to sell festival shirts for the community she loved.

Candy found joy in the simple pleasures of life-shopping, thrifting, and spending cherished moments with her family and grandchildren. She was a proud supporter of her grandchildren's activities, often attending Will's baseball games with her beloved "Tribe," a group of close friends who shared her passion for community and connection.

Candy is survived by her devoted husband, Leslie Huffman of Vardaman, MS; her mother, Linda K. Spencer of Vardaman, MS; her two daughters, Blakely Huffman and Sydney (Walker) Nichols both of Vardaman, MS; and her brother, Clay (Rachel) Spencer of Brandon, MS. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Presley Denton, Will Nichols, Reed Coleman, Wyatt Nichols, Clara Nichols, and Olivia Nichols.

Candy was preceded in death by her father, Billy Paul Spencer, grandfather, Bill Blue, grandmother, Yvalette Bailey Blue, grandfather, William F. "Bill" Spencer, Grandmother, Clara Hawkins Spencer

Public visitation will take place at the Vardaman First Baptist Church on September 21, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 3:00 PM with Bro. Mike Ramage and Bro. Jason Hubbard officiating. Candy will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery with Dean Bennett, Porter Casey, Paul Norman Edmondson, Joey Ferguson, Jason Lloyd, Dewitt Moore, Damon Nelson, and Chip Phillips serving as pallbearers.

In her favorite words, "Joy Comes In The Morning," Candy embraced life with a contagious spirit and a joyful heart. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
