Carl Linn Parker

Carl Linn Parker, 73, passed from this life on December 3, 2020 at his home in Coffeeville, Mississippi. Born on April 8, 1947 in Bruce, Mississippi, Carl was a son to the late John Parker and Margaret Parker.

Carl, a truck driver by trade, spent many miles of his life in the driver’s seat of a big rig. When Carl wasn’t shifting gears he could be found outside practicing his many hobbies.  He enjoyed the view of life from a deer stand, always hoping for a good hunt. Fishing also topped Carl’s list of hobbies; however, he didn’t simply cast a line from the comforts of a boat. He preferred the thrill seeking adventure of catching flathead catfish with his hands on a grabbling trip. Carl, like many other men of the south, possessed the skills of raising a bountiful garden.   Although Carl has departed from our presence his unique memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Carl leaves behind an expansive family to continue walking down the path of life; three daughters: Angie Gill of Bruce; Traci (Esteban) Salinas of Bruce; Carla (Scottie) Swords of Water Valley;two brothers:  Ronald (Annie) Parker of Bruce; Quincy (Martha) Parker of Pittsboro; seven grandchildren: Eric (Laykn) Parker, Haley Hubbard, Ashley (Joshua) Warren, Joshua Cotton, Marissa Salinas, Ciro Salinas, and Archie Swords; three great grandchildren: Elizabeth Ledbetter, Swayze Warren, and Caiden Salinas.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, John Parker and Margaret Parker; one son, Archie Parker; two brothers: Jimmy Parker, and Tommy Parker.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce from 12:00PM – 2:00PM. The memorial service celebrating Carl’s life will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating.
