Carolyn Sue Easley went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS, on March 15, 2024.

Carolyn, 82, was born on April 19, 1941, to the late Minard "Babe" Pfeffer and Ida Mae Olree Pfeffer in Memphis, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmommy and friend.

Carolyn attended Memphis Art Academy and always had a love for painting. She even had one of her paintings published on the cover of Mississippi Outdoors magazine. She worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank and was later the manager at Community Finance until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Bruce United Methodist Church, a church family she dearly loved. Carolyn was a lady of many gifts. She played handbells and sang alto in the choir. She was the church's membership secretary and the official money counter for the offerings. She was the recording secretary of the United Methodist Women and actively participated in all their projects, including the annual harvest lunch and annual yard sale. She was also a life member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Cliff Easley, Jr., of Bruce, MS; sons William Lawerence “Billy” Monaghan (Angel) of Coffeeville, MS, and Robert Ellis “Robbie” Monaghan (Teresa) of Bruce, MS; daughter Leianne Tindall (Tim) of Eupora, MS; grandchildren: Brook Monaghan, Josh Monaghan (Tara), Colby Monaghan (Kristie), Karli Monaghan, Dustin Byars (Bailey), Anna Bailey, Ana Brower, Lylla Joe (Michael),Yancy Ammons (Chris), Sherman Cooper, and Jessica Aguilar (Alex); Grace and Kole Howell, Swayzee Watson, Bailey and McCall Monaghan, Mia Byars, Lily and Reese Cooper, Cooper and Sophia Aguilar, Kennedy and Chambers Joe, and Lark Ammons; sister Ida Webb (Larry), of Gulfport, MS.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Monaghan; stepsons, Robert "Bob" Cooper and William "Bill" Cooper; and her parents, Minard "Babe" and Ida Pfeffer.

Visitation for Carolyn will be Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. There will also be a visitation from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Bruce United Methodist Church, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lynn Mote officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Josh Monaghan, Colby Monaghan, Dustin Byars, Kole Howell, Sherman Cooper, Kevin Chrestman, Royce Tidwell, and Michael Cook. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Carolyn’s Sunday school class, whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bruce United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
