Carolyn Kimbrell, 82, passed away on April 29, 2021, at The Meadows in Fulton, MS.
Carolyn was born on September 25, 1938, in Bruce MS, to Dwight Long and Donie Long. Carolyn married John Kimbrell on November 26, 1956, in Bruce, MS by her grandfather Bro. Alfred Brasher. The couple had 2 children: Judy Gray, of Shannon, and Tim Kimbrell, of Pontotoc.
Carolyn was a caretaker, very personable and a social butterfly She loved family and friends and never met a stranger. She loved to cook and entertain people while at her home. She could always be depended on to do whatever was needed whether with her family or yours. She was always smiling in times of joy and would grieve with those she loved in times of trouble. She loved dressing up and always looked like a true Southern Belle. She loved southern gospel music and enjoyed going to singings. She loved spending time with her brothers, sister, her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her family was her life and everything revolved around them in her eyes.
Carolyn was a member of West Heights Baptist Church. She was a Christian and loved her Lord and Savior. She truly was a Proverbs 31 woman. Priority #1 for her was that her children were raised in church. She loved all of God's creation and took her time taking in their beauty. If ever trying to get somewhere, she would have to be prodded along if there was a flower bush in sight. She really lived by the term, take time to stop and smell the roses! Johnny and Carolyn always enjoyed having the Kimbrell's log cabin jamboree every year. They loved traveling with their special friends Buddy and Kay Bain. Anytime they could host or entertain, that just made their day! Carolyn would want her legacy to be - love God, treat your fellow man with respect, love your children and go to church. You always knew it was her car by the bumper sticker "take your children to church, they deserve it".
