Chad Joseph Dauzat, 35 of Belden, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his home in Belden, Mississippi.
Born Tuesday, September 8, 1981 in Thibodaux, Louisiana, he was the son of George Dauzat and the late Shirlene LeJuene Johnson.
He was a graduate of Vardaman High School class of 2001.
He served as a SSG in the Army from 2006 until 2015. He was a Veteran of Iraq Freedom, and served two tours in Afghanistan.
Surviving are father George Dauzat and step-mother Dorothy of Amory, MS.son, Jules-Morris Dauzat of Hattiesburg, MS, daughter, Sophia Elizabeth Dauzat of Frederick, CO, brother, Joel (Lauren)Carriker of Frisco, TX, sisters, Carla (Robert) Alsup of Amory, MS and Toni Dauzat of Vardaman, MS. Fiance' Kim Willis of Belden, MS. and a god-mother, Phyllis Dauzat of Thibodaux, LA. uncle Terry (Cathy)Dauzat and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by, grandparents, Pavay Dauzat, Pearl Dauzat, Francis LeJuene, and Beulah LeJuene.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Vardaman First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Hall officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Woodland, MS. With military honors.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Alsup, Jo Jo Dauzat, T.J. Dauzat, Chris Hester, Adam Huffman, and Neil Wesley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Pavay Dauzat, Robert Dauzat, Terry Dauzat, and Hunter Huffman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Vardaman First United Methodist Church, , Vardaman, Mississippi.
