Charlene Mcgregor

Charlene McGregor, 87, passed away on November 16, 2021, at Bruce Community Living Center, in Bruce, MS.

Charlene was born on September 13, 1934, in Vardaman, MS, to the late James Franklin Williams and Clemmie Brown Williams. Charlene graduated from Vardaman High School in 1953. Charlene married the love of her life, Robert Earl McGregor on November 16, 1957, in the home of Bro. Hartley, and to this union the couple added 2 children.

She was a devoted member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. Charlene's greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with her dog Smokey.

Those left to cherish Charlene's memory are her husband Robert McGregor of Vardaman;  two sons: William Earl (Natalie) McGregor of Vardaman, and  David Allan (Kimberly) McGregor of Vardaman; one sister Mary Lee Wright of Vardaman;  three grandchildren: Kristen Lambert, Wesley McGregor, and Christopher McGregor;  three great- grandchildren: Kamryn Lambert, Hunter McGregor, and Andrew McGregor.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents James Franklin and Clemmie Brown Williams, her brothers James Lewis Williams and John Robert Williams.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. A funeral service honoring Charlene's life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with Bro. Jonathan Peeples and Bro. Fred Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Craig Williams, Danny Williams, Don Lewis Williams, Joel Williams, Roger Williams, and Randle Wright serving as pallbearers.
