Charlene Winter

Charlene Winter, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Calhoun City, MS, at the age of 90. She was born on December 29, 1935, in Bruce, Mississippi, where she resided her entire life.

Charlene was a cherished member of her family and is survived by her daughters, Wanda Patterson of Bruce, MS and Lori (Gary) Washington of Houlka, MS; her sons, Mike (Robbie) Winter of Bruce, MS and Richard (Becky) Winter of Bruce, MS; her grandchildren: Angie Kelley, Crystal Garcia, Stacy Graefe, Ginger Patterson, Joey Winter, Matt Winter, Sean Jeffreys, Chase Washington, Brandon Winter, Austin Winter, and Parker Winter. Charlene also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

A woman of simple pleasures, Charlene found joy in cooking for her family and tending to her beautiful outdoor flowers. Her nurturing spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Charlene will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce on February 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Rob Abel officiating. She will be laid to rest at Antioch Cemetery in Bruce, MS on the same day.

Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Winter, Brandon Winter, Chase Washington, Jamie Russell, Joey Winter, Matt Winter, Parker Winter, and Sean Jeffreys. Honorary pallbearers include Carson Jeffreys, Clayton Winter, Josh Russell, Reid Winter, and Tyler Patterson.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Winter; father, George Davis; mother, Maudie Free Davis; son, Tony Lee Winter; two granddaughters, Tangie Winter Washington and Laura Ashley Winter; two grandsons, Tony Mac Winter and Robert Allen Patterson; two sisters, Elsie Whitt and Inez Lambert; brother, Jimmy Davis; daughter-in-law, Joy Ann Winter; and son-in-law, Robert Dale Patterson.
