Charles Melvin Liles,80 of Coffeeville, Mississippi. Passed away on November 20, 2024, at his home in Coffeeville  Born on January 17, 1944, in Coffeeville to the late Perry Lee Liles and Ethel Spurgeon Liles.

Throughout his life, Charles embraced various pursuits and occupations, finding joy in activities such as hunting deer, quail, squirrel, and duck. His love for the outdoors extended to enjoying leisurely rides on his beloved John Deere Gator. Over the years, he explored diverse career paths, contributing to the Yalobusha County Maintenance Department, logging, engaging in commercial fishing, and running his own establishment, Liles Grocery, before retiring.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, survived by his daughter Jennifer Johnson and her husband Hugh of Madison, MS, son Perry Liles and his wife Carla of Ripley, MS, son Jeffery Liles of Aberdeen, NC, and sister Merline Hansen of Clearwater, FL. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren Lindsey Liles, Steele (Caroline) Liles, Perry Elizabeth Liles, Peyton (Lauren) Johnson, Hannah (Joseph) Tutor, as well as his great-grandchild, Charles Robert Johnson and a special friend, Connie Hodge of Coffeeville, MS.

The funeral service will take place at Clear Springs Baptist Church in Coffeeville on November 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm, with Bro. Earl Flemons and Bro. Freddie Buchannan officiating. Preceded by a public viewing at 11:00 am at the church. Following the service, Charles will be laid to rest in Clear Springs Cemetery. Robert Barnette, Jason Harrellson, Peyton Johnson, Steele Liles, Chris Terry, and Parker Terry will serve as Pallbearers. Gaylon Gray, Jim Gray, Bob Harrelson, Lanny Harwell, David Simpson, Charles Parker, Rodney Tedford, and Bubba Tillman will serve as honorary Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to the Patricia Liles Memorial Scholarship through http://www.holmescc.edu/development-fondation/.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McComb Liles, brothers, David Liles and Pete Liles, mother, Ethel Spurgeon Liles, father, Perry Lee Liles and sisters, Mary Frances Simpson, Willie Ruth Liles, and Helen Liles.
