Charles "Tommy" Russell, 65, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Bruce, and he was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2,2014 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Pete Poynor of Banner; a niece, Sharon Boland and husband, Steve of Bruce; and a nephew, Dean Poynor and wife, Kathy of Banner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cecil Taylor Russell; and a sister, Beverly Jo Poynor.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
