Charles Earl Smith, 71 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Born Tuesday, July 27, 1943 in Bruce, MS, he was the son of the late Elmo Smith and Louise Kisner Smith.
He was the husband of Sandra Fuller Smith.
He was retired from National Resource Conservation Service.
He served as a SP4 in the Army. He was a Veteran of Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star of Valor.
He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and Lieutenant in the SCV Camp, Calhoun Avengers, #1969

He is Survived by daughters, Becky Dean Smith and husband Jim and Michelle Sanders Wright and husband LT. Shane Wright, brothers, Bro. Jerry Smith and wife Spin of Bruce, MS and Tommy Smith and wife Diane of Brandon, MS. grandchildren, Jacob Dean, Brock Dean, Jacob Ellis Smith, Justin Dean, Brady Dean, Kalee Hollingsworth Wright,
and Braelyn Wright.

A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Joey Hamilton officiating and Bro. James Taylor Assisting. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, in Bruce, MS. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund.

Pallbearers will be: Breck Brown, John Goudelock, Michael Holder, Billy Van James, John D. Santi, Adam Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Wayne Coleman, David Fuller, Jerry Green, Bobby Santi, Clement Santi, James Smith, Jim Smith, Larry Snellings, Lt. Shane Wright, and SCV Camp, Calhoun Avengers #1969.
