Charles Leonard Tull, born on September 11, 1955, in Clewiston, Florida, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on April 18, 2025, in Vardaman, Mississippi. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family.
Charles was a skilled welder and spent much of his career in industry. He possesed a wealth of practical knowledge that he passionately shared with those around him. He was respected in his field and cherished by his peers.
A man who found joy in the simplicity of life, Charles had a deep love for hunting and fishing. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with his loved ones. His greatest pride was his family, and he took immeasurable joy in the lives of his children and grandchildren, often sharing stories and experiences that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Tull of Vardaman, MS; daughters, Tracey Tull of Savannah, GA, Tina Russell of Vardaman, MS, and Donnie Sunshine Tull of Erwin, TN; sons, Charles Lincoln (Lora) Tull of Marion ARK, Stanley Lee (Penny) Messer of Raeford, NC; and Leonard "J.J." Tull of vardaman, MS; brother, Donnie (Julie) Tull of Maryville, TN. His grandchildren—Nerita (Timothy) Thornell, Ashley (Justin) Gibbs, Elizabeth Marrguin, Abbigail Tull, Cory Lang, Kenneth Messer, Tiffany Messer, Savana Harrington, Zoey Nichols, Sandra Vanwager, Timothy Vanwager—along with his numerous great-grandchildren, will forever hold his memory close.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Tull, mother, Willadean Tull, sister, Peggy Hanson,and brothers, Don Collums and Danny Collums.
A public viewing will be held at Cornerstone Church in Houston, MS. on April 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same venue at 11:00 AM officiated by Bro. Paul Funderburk. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Charles’s life, sharing memories and honoring a man who truly loved his family and lived life to its fullest.
Charles Leonard Tull will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the warmth of his spirit and the love he shared with all who knew him.
