Charlie Huckaby

Charlie Huckaby, age 80, passed away on January 24, 2025, at his residence in Banner, MS. Charlie was born on September 2, 1944, in Water Valley, MS, to the late Ernest Huckaby and Dovie Mae Cliffton Huckaby. He was the Owner of Huckaby's Truck and Skidder repair. He was a member of Drivers Flat Baptist Church and served as Chairman of Deacons. He was a former Past Master of the Banner Masonic Lodge, Past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandry of Mississippi,  a member of the Red Cross, and many other Masonic bodies.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Harris Huckaby of Banner, MS; his daughter Patsy Faye Huckaby Dorris of Banner, MS; his son Charles Edward Huckaby of Banner, MS; four grandchildren: Brandon Dorris, Amber (Philip) Tutor, Alaina (James) Collins, and Bradley (Marley) Dorris; six great grandchildren, and three sisters: Janette (Chet) Dunaway, Mae Pollan, and Lucy Swanson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Johnnie Reynolds, and three brothers James Huckaby, Lonnie Huckaby, and William Huckaby.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Drivers Flat Baptist Church in Banner, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Drivers Flat Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Dorris and Bro. Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Drivers Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Black, Tim Dickerson, Bradley Dorris, Brandon Dorris, Bryan Roberts, and Calvin Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Drivers Flat Baptist Church and members of the Masonic Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Driver's Flat Baptist Church in Memory of Mr. Charlie Huckaby.
