Christopher "Chris" Lee Penick, 41, was born on February 18, 1983, in Grenada, MS to Amanda Lollar Logan and Gary Lee Penick. Chris passed this earthly life to soon on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his residence in Vardaman, MS.
Chris was a graduate of Vardaman High School, class of 2001 and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a tool and die maker and was employed at Steel Pro in Houston, MS as an assistant foreman. He a member of Vardaman United Methodist Church.
Chris enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed long conversations with family and friends. He never met a stranger and after meeting you he would learn your entire history making you feel like he had always known you.
Chris is survived by his father Gary (Michele) Penick, of Vardaman, MS; his mother Amanda Lollar Logan, of Houston, MS; son Aiden Penick, of Vardaman, MS; sisters: Rhonda Logan Harrelson, of Bruce, MS; Crystal (Blake) Skinner, of Houston, MS; brothers: Brian (Kayla) Penick, of Vardaman, MS; and Waylon (Bridget) Logan, of Vardaman, MS; Good friend and mother of his son Mindy (Brent) Dixon of Duck Hill, MS. and a host of extended family including nieces and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Eva Jo Penick, Zeke and Ruby Lollar, and brother William Gilbert Logan.
Visitation for Chris will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Vardaman United Methodist Church. The funeral service honoring Chris's life will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Vardaman United Methodist Church will Bro. Roger Reeder and Bro. Whit Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Mark Berry, Nick Criddle, T. J. Dauzat, Ray Laney, Jonathan Logan, Randy Poyner, Kenneth Scott, and Brent Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be David Blair, Colt Butler, Coley Denton, Jeremy Harrell, Landon Logan, Lanson Logan, Layton Logan, Bryce Penick, Martin Ray White, and Lane Watts.
