Christopher Sean 'Pop Pop' Harrison, 53, passed away on July 20, 2024, at his home in Calhoun City, MS. He was born on December 1, 1970, in Bruce, MS to the late Nathan Bryan Harrison and Sandra Carol Baker Johnson.
He was a graduate of Vardaman High School class of 1988 and attended Ole Miss and Holmes Community College. He was employed at Affordable Furniture until health issues caused him to retire. He enjoyed gaming, reading and loved watching Dr. Who and Sponge Bob. He was a member of First Baptist Church Vardaman.
Christopher is survived by his wife Rebecca Hodge Harrison, of Calhoun City, MS; mother Sandra Johnson of Houlka, MS; Father in law, Marcus Payne Hodge, daughters: Tiffany Gann, of Calhoun City, MS and Brittany Brassfield, of Houston, MS; sons: Chris (Jessica) Harrison, of Calhoun City, MS; Matthew (Bethany) Harrison, of Calhoun City, MS and Jason (Jayden) Gann, of Calhoun City, MS; sisters: Amanda (Doug) Hutchens, of Calhoun City, MS; Susan (Robert) Brassfield, of Houston, MS and Tiffany (William) Hamblin, of Houlka, MS; sister-in-law Lori Harrison, of Woodland, MS; grandchildren: Jaci Harrison, Hunter Gann, Remi Gann, Emersyn Gann, Haven Gann, Keeston Mitchell, Colin Mitchell, and Conner Gann; and ten nieces and nephews.
Christopher is preceded in death by his father Nathan Harrison; step-father James Johnson; brother Bobby Harrison; mother-in-law Midgie Hodge; grandfather Pete Baker and grandmother Jenny Baker.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with Rev. Paul Brassfield officiating. Pallbearers are John Robert Brassfield, Jason Gann, Jerry Dale Good, Chris Harrison, Matthew Harrison, David Hood, Kenneth Melton, and Nathan Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Brassfield, Johnny Gann, William Hamblin, Doug Hutchens, and Everette Parker.
