Claude "Butch" Chalmers Romine, Jr.

Claude “Butch” Chalmers Romine, Jr., 68 passed away suddenly Monday, October 21, 2027, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.  He was born August 31, 1956, in Florence, Alabama to the late Claude Chalmers Romine and Betty Palmertree Romine.

Butch was an auto parts specialist with Advance Auto Parts in Oxford.  He was a retired independent insurance adjustor for many years.  He was a Methodist by faith. He was a graduate of Whitehaven High School Class of 1974. Butch loved his family dearly and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially college football. He was an avid Alabama sports fan.

Butch is survived by his daughter Jenny Nicole Romine Collins of Bruce, MS; son Jeremy Colton Romine of Bruce, MS; brother Kenneth Romine of Southaven, MS; grandchildren: Donivon Anthony (Anastasia) Romine, Taylor Gage Downs, Aubrey Alexis Downs, and Aidyn Romine Collins; and great grandchildren: Maxtyn Romine and Gwynevere Romine.

Visitation for Butch will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS.  A memorial service honoring Butch’s life will also be Saturday, November 2, 2024, beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS.
