Clytee Christian

Clytee Christian, 98 of Bruce, passed away on Sunday, August 26th, 2018, at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce. Mrs. Christian was born June 5 ^th , 1920 in Calhoun County to Baxter Doss and Rose Purvis Doss.
Mrs. Christian was retired from The United States Civil Service, where she served as a Secretary in locations throughout the world including Gernany, Italy, and France. She loved playing Bridge as a hobby, and was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
Mrs. Christian leaves behind Sisters Nell Rives Of Marble Hill, Missouri, Maeuna Authur of Houlka, Mary L. Doss of Inverness, Florida, and Anita Bratton of Denison, Texas.
There will be a visitation with the family this Thursday, August 30 ^th , 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce starting at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service celebrating Mrs. Christian’s life will begin immediately following visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel starting at 12:00 pm with Brother Jackie Douglass and Brother Sam Yarbrough officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the Funeral Service, with Mrs. Christian being laid to rest in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Arthur, Barry Doss, Ted Easley, Jimmy Franklin, Larry Swanson, and Danny Witzel. Cliff Easley, Jr. will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
Mrs. Christian was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Husband John Christian; Brothers J.C. Doss, John D. Doss, Wilbur Doss, and Van Davis Doss; and Sister Maurine Easley.
