Lavonia Corinne Bryant Crocker, 100, left this earthly life to enter her heavenly eternal home on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Bruce Community Living Center after an extended illness. She was born on April 24, 1921, to the late parents James Fonzie Bryant and Evie Ann Nabors Bryant.
Corinne was a active member of Bruce First Baptist Church, where she participated in all church activities and outreach programs at the church. She was a helper to others and served people as a nurses aide for several years working at the Calhoun County Hospital. She also worked for the elderly as a sitter and caregiver for those who needed assistance. She had a heart for those in need, always donating to charity or fundraising projects in our community. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was proud of all her family and their accomplishments. She enjoyed God's nature, her flowers, and gardening, often sharing with others her fruits of her garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Fonzie and Evie Ann Nabors Bryant; husband Glen Wesson Crocker; son Harold Ray Crocker, and her brothers: J. Selmer Bryant, Bro. Herman Bryant, Bro. Arlis Bryant, Bro. Hollis Vaughn Bryant, and Victor Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters: Margaret Ann (Joe) Young, Brandon, FL; and Betty Marie (Houston) Magee, Olive Branch, MS; son Glen Wesson Crocker, Jr., Bruce, MS; sisters: Marie Bloodworth, Rosebloom, MS; and Garneita (Dewey) Murphree, Bruce, MS; grandchildren: Dr. Dustin Inman, Bryan Inman, David Young, Jarret Magee, and Melanie Marie Magee; great grandchildren: Bryan Michael Inman, Alexis Inman, Faith Inman, Jacob Inman, LilliAnne Inman, Jackson Inman, Paxton Inman, Josie Ann Inman, Allie Inman, Caleb Inman, Connor Inman, Ella Magee, and Jarret Magee.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Ron Madison officiating. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Inman, Caleb Inman, Dr. Dustin Inman, Jacob Inman, Kenneth Murphree, and David Young.
